College Level Examination Program - CLEP
Save time and money by taking CLEP Exams!
The CLEP exam is administered by College Board and allows you to obtain college credit for information you already know. There are 33 exams for courses that you would typically take in the first two years of college. See below for the subject areas. The cost of the test is $89. Passing the exam will earn you credit for that class. So you will not have to spend time taking the class which could be 16 weeks and you will not have to pay for the class which could be 100s if not 1000s of dollars. If you do not currently know all the information needed to do successful on the class there is enough study material out there to learn it and pass it. Think of how much money you could save! You could most of your freshmen and sophmore year class completed at a very low cost.
The CLEP exams covering math include College Mathematics, College Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus. You can study for these and take the ones that can earn you credit. Please talk with a counselor at the school you want to attend to see which ones you can take and what score you need.
